Drake’s ‘Views From the 6’ Album Cover Art

Over the weekend, in between watching Purple Rain 8 times in a row, downloading unreleased Prince song after unreleased Prince song, and watching Under the Cherry Moon 5 times in a row, music fans were temporarily distracted by the release of Beyoncé’s new visual album, Lemonade and the album cover art for Drake’s Views from the 6.

A few months ago, we could have easily considered Views to be Drake’s Detox; the album we’ll never hear, only hear about. But, Drake has put doubters at ease. First making April 29th the official release date, then rumors of a double disc, or streaming equivalent, and now we have our first look at the official album art.

Whether you compare it to J. Cole’s album cover, or Mackelmore’s “Can’t Hold Us” video, or a scene from the movie, Jumper, the point is we are just days away from our girls hiding Drake’s album under the Pizza Hunt entry on their phones. Maybe that joke only half makes sense, but you’re going to need humor to mask the pain caused by your girl cheating on you with a Drake double disc.
