A Kickstarter funded “short film about fear,” Break My Bones centers on Violet, a young girl coping with terminal illness who ends up discovering a shocking secret in the home of her neighbors, the Clevelands.
One of the perks of such a low key production–I presume–is that you needn’t worry about placating the egos of major stars when you want to crank out a crazy, creative and eye-catching poster such as this. If you want to remodel the half of your lead’s face that’s closest to the camera and turn it into eerie attic space for a mysterious old woman in a rocking chair, you can just go with it. That has to be liberating.
Break My Bones is presently in post-production, and its creators are working to ready the film for this year’s festival circuit.
