Vehicular Wi-Fi Should Lead To Vehicular Manslaughter

gm_autonetI can’t imagine it not causing accidents. Only time will tell. GM announced that they will be releasing Autonet, an always-on wireless internet solution for your car.

From Ohgizmo:

The device can be installed in your new van, SUV, truck or crossover starting later this month. Installation will set you back $499, while service is going to cost $29 a month with a 1GB cap. There is also a 5GB package, though no price was listed. The WiFi signal will reach up to 150 feet away, so you won’t be limited to using it just in your car.

I can’t imagine how embarrassing it’s gonna be for the guy who died in a car crash because he was looking at porn.

“Well maam, we think he took his hand off the gear shift to…well you know. And he lost control of the car.”

“Oh my. That’s awful.”

“Well if it makes you feel better, autopsy shows he did finish before impact, so the last thing he felt was extreme satisfaction…Then ultimately excrutiating pain.”

“Oh that’s good. Can I see the body?”

“Yes, but the thing is the police are to arrest the body because your husband was looking at child porn.”

I almost forgot what this post was about. Sorry. Buy the GM Autonet.
