Avatar Overtakes Titanic: James Cameron Knows What He’s Doing
I was wrong. The notion that Avatar might be a financial and critical disaster was a complete misfire, particularly on the financial part. That’s why James Cameron gets the green-light to make $300 million dollar movies and I’m just a guy who references movie, TV and music quotes for cheap laughs on a website that specializes in superficiality and gorgeous, gorgeous women. Shout it from the mountaintops: Avatar has bested Titanic. The movie is destined to do well over $2 billion dollars in worldwide business. The king is dead, long live the king.
My bad James! I should have never doubted you. You have created the two highest grossing films of all-time. You apparently have revolutionized filmmaking since everyone, their momma and their cousin too wants to make a 3-D flick now. Whether or not this is for the best isn’t imminently relevant. The fact that I liked the film but think that anyone suffering from some sort of Avatar-Withdrawal-Syndrome is pathetic is also not pertinent. Because all I can think of now is…
$2 billion dollars in the crosshairs? Damn, that’s a lot of kablingy…
You’ve won, James. As you always do, one way or another.
